Macros, VBA, Excel Automation, etc.

I have an excel workbook that has about 7 sheets. Each sheet has its own drop down list (with names of employees) which then populates the graph associated with that sheet. I want to create a macro that allows the user to select their name from the drop down list on sheet 1 and then click a macro button so that all the other sheets are then updated with their selection.
Any help is greatly appreciated! I am not too familiar with macros.

It would help if you can post a workbook with a sample of your data.
