Dear NoSparks,

Is it possible for the database you made to make a sound whenever the pop-up appears? If you can remember, there are three instances that a pop-up will appear: "not yet timed-in", "not yet timed-out", and "not yet timed in & out".

Hoping for your usual help and guidance.. :D

Thank you.

Hello mhyven

With those messages there are 3 built in possibilities that use sound.

I've used the Warning Message which is indicated in the code as the number 48.
The others are Information Message (64) and Critical Message (16).
I'm not sure but think the sounds used are determined by the sound scheme of the computer.

If you don't care for the one I used you can try the other 2.
I've commented the code so it will be easy to find and change if necessary.
Right click the sheet tab and select 'View Code'.

Hope that works

Dear NoSparks,

I tried all three. I see the difference among those three but only visually. There seems no sounds playing/coming out when the pop-up appears.. im on windows 7 professional with 64bit. ms office 2013.

Thank you.

It works for me, I'm also on Windows 7 Pro.
The actual sounds connected to the message boxes are set by the Windows sound control.

Opening Windows Control panel, then Sound, then the Sounds tab
my computer is set to use the Windows Default Sound Scheme.
Testing each sound....
48 gives me the sound set for Exclamation
16 gives sound of Critical Stop, and
64 sound of Asterisk.

All I can suggest is checking whether or not you hear these when tested directly in the sounds control.
If no, you can't... address that issue first
if yes, you can.... afraid I'm stumped.

Good luck

NoSparks,

Good day!
Its more than a year and the file has always been great. But then, i have a question..
Is it possible to incoporate the codes from this excel file to a visual basic (vb) (gui)?, its just that i've read about the vb and it looks promising.

Thanks in advance.
