Active X controls converted to drawing objects

Hi,

I am running into a strange issue. I have created a small excel macro based file with active x controls on worksheets. I sent it out to my client thru an email. When the client opens the file, all of the active x controls are converted to drawing objects. What can cause this? Is it firewall/email setting that converts active x controls to drawing objects.

Have you tried sending your clients a zipped file?

Good point. No I have not sent him a zipped file. Let me send and see what happens. Thanks

Zip file did not work. What I found out was that he was using Excel for MAC which does not allow Active X Control. BUT the strange thing is that even when he opens from the Windows side, it still does the same i.e. converts active x into drawing objects. For the time being, I have removed the active x controls and used form controls (which according to Microsoft work with Excel MAC). Waiting for results
