CSV file for XMPie in indesign

Postby Beatle1957 » Mon Mar 28, 2016 4:43 pm

I have and excel file from a client with zip codes and postal codes in a column named Zip, when I save as a csv and import into XMpie my zip codes are fine but my postal codes show just 0? I don’t know excel very well, but have checked the formatting to make sure it is not Numbers only, because the postal codes are both numbers and letters. Nothing is locked either. I have moved on in a round about way, but just wondering if someone knows why this was happening. XMpie is a plug in for doing variable date in indesign. so when you flip thru the addresses everything is fine until you get to the Canadian address and it just has 0 for the postal code. ??
