Use Id from excel to auto populate word template

I have a data sheet from excel with over a thousand user id , and I need to update/populate data to a word document using the id from excel. The challenges are that I have to enter only the id in word and the rest of the document will update. I can't do this with mail merge because the word template is randomly used and each users are from different entity.
What are my options? Since I'm not good with VBA .
