Average top 3 if name matches

Morning,

What am trying to do if get the average of the top 3 results for each persons name,

Example:
Name Score
John 0.5
Paul 1
Steve 2
John 4
Steve 4
John 5
Steve 5
John 1.75

I can use =average(Large(A1:A8,{1,2,3})) to get the over all average of the top 3, but what I need to do is get the average of the top 3 just for John.
