Only one horse can be used from each race. Sometimes there are more than 2 choices of horses so being able to add another horse or take one off, or even only having one horse, is needed for each race. Sometimes there are also more than 8 races, generally up to 12. Being able to add in races/horses is needed without giving a False readout.
The combinations should display up to be easily printed out, from the example given there's probably about 30 or so combinations, so displayed will be easy enough to mark off as you go through every combination.
I haven't touched any coding or much excel formula for a very long time, so if I'm not familiar with much, just bare with me, I can generally pick it up fairly quickly.
