Asset Management Inventory with Barcode

Postby mngshb » Thu Jul 14, 2016 12:51 pm

Dear All Experts,
i need all of your help and support to resolve my problem.

i want to make automated fixed asset management inventory sheet using bar-code scanning in vba & excel.
i am using font (IDAutomationHC39M) as a bar-code & each product are having different bar-code series number.

i have attached sample file for your reference.
i have products which i have give on rent & after few days return back from various parties, so i want to make that process automated using bar-code scanning, please guide me if is it possible or NOT ???

1. need to select INWARD or OUTWARD from dropdown list. (without selection barcode will accept scan)
2. CONTINUES BARCODES SCAN without any OK/Enter button
3. SCAN will STOP & Save file after click on SCAN DONE Button.
4. if doing INWARD then below mentioned things will remain same while scanning products barcode.
- Type of PURPOSE will remain same
- Type DELIVERED will change with HOME
- Remarks is optional TYPE or DONT (if TYPE then remarks will add or replace with new)
- Inward Date will change with Timecode.
- Status will be change with INWARD while scanning in INWARD OPTION

5. if doing OUTWARD then below mentioned things will required to changed
- PURPOSE will change as per dropdown list.
- Delivered To will change as per dropdown list.
- Remarks is optional TYPE or DONT (if TYPE then remarks will add or replace with new)
- Outward Date will change with Timecode.
- Status will be change with OUTWARD while scanning in OUTWARD OPTION

awaiting for you valuable reply.    :geek: :geek: :geek: :?: :?: :?:

Have a look at this topic.
The file I posted there is simplistic in what it does but may be of interest. See the comments in the code.

Free forums are there to help you when you have an ongoing project and you get stuck somewhere, not to create an entire project for you.

So, start your project and come back one question at a time, adding your sheet and what you already did.

If you need an entire project there are lots of commercial sites ready to help.

To make things clear I will close this topic. You can always open a new one.

Good luck
