How to convert a row into seperate worksheets

Postby cpingor » Thu Dec 22, 2011 1:12 pm

Greetings,

I have a large training deficiency report of over 4000 names. Each row contains a myriad of data. Some of the individuals belong to the same work group within my overall organization. I need to break out each work group into a seperate work sheet. One of the columns identifies the workgroup.

Can I use the workgroup column to create a macro or function that will do the following?

1. Create a new worksheet.
2. Copy the header row onto the worksheet.
3. Copy everybody in the same workgroup into the newly created worksheet.

For example:

Organization Name Date
Dental Bob 11/2/2011
Path and Lab Marsha 12/1/2009
Dental Sam 8/3/2001
Police Doug 9/3/1974

The above would be my raw data. Now I need to create 3 worksheets that would look like this:

Sheet 1
Organization Name Date
Dental Bob 11/2/2011
Dental Sam 8/3/2001

Sheet 2
Organization Name Date
Path and Lab Marsha 12/1/2009

Sheet 3
Organization Name Date
Police Doug 9/3/1974

My programming skills are lacking so if you have any programming advice I would love for you to be very specific and treat me like I am 6.

Thanks for helping. This is something that I do regularly and learning how to automate this would decrease my workload tremendously!

Thanks,
Chris

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
There are other ways too do this but...

Be kind let us know if you posted somewhere else!
