Convert numbers to time

Postby Henrique » Thu Dec 22, 2011 7:29 am

Hi Folks,

It's my first loggin and I'm trying to convert numbers to time (900 to 9:00 and 1118 to 11:18). I have tried (=TEXT(K8,"HH:MM") or (=TEXT(K8/24,"hh:mm") but it's not working. I'll appreciate any help.

Thank you!

Henrique.

Hi,

This formula will do the conversion of a number in B4:
Code: Select all
=TIME(B4/100,MOD(B4,100),0)

The result will appear differently, depending upon the formatting you choose for it.
Enjoy your day! :D

I do this for "honour and country" - much less of the latter, actually.
If I helped you, award points, plenty of them.
If I bored you, deduct points for being too long-winded. (I know, :lol)
