Drop down menu with checklist

Postby bpaisley » Mon Mar 28, 2016 2:28 pm

I have a worksheet to compute fines and fees in criminal cases and want to create a dropdown box (I think) where the user clicks the box and a check list appears that allows the user to select multiple items from a list. If the user selects certain items, I want a set value to go into a set cell corresponding to the item selected. If the user selects certain items, they would be prompted to insert a value of the fine or fee, and then that value would be entered into the corresponding row. For example, the user might check the Arson box which would then insert $500 in the cell where the arson fine amount goes. The user might select the general fine box from the dropdown and then be prompted to manually enter the amount of the fine since it is variable, whereas, the arson fine is always 500. Sounds complex, and I am more than a novice user, but nowhere near an expert. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks you.
