Batch processing multiple coordinate sets

Postby Lovesit125 » Wed Mar 02, 2016 9:11 pm

Hi
hope someone can help.
I have a complex spread sheet of Redferns formulae to convert UTM Coordinates to Lats & Longs with grid convergence.
in it's current configuration I can type in 1 pair of cords and get 1 result.
I want to set up a spread sheet where I can copy in a list of coordinates and have the corresponding converted results posted in the next columns.

the original spread sheet is available from external link removed by moderation.

I just need to know how I can use this workbook to do a batch conversion.

Thanks in advance if anyone has any suggestions.

Hi and welcome to the board

The goal of a free forum is to help people when they are stuck and help them learn, not solving an entire project.

So, please post your worksheet (on the forum) showing where your project went wrong and expected results.

Thanks

Thanks for getting back to me.
Just trying to find out how to multiple values through a singular spread sheet.

I have attached a sample data set. The second tab has the formulae and process I need to follow to generate the result values.

The last tab has some sample data that I will be receiving in CSV format.

I need to know how to pass these values back to the second tab and populate the result columns with the results that would come from inputting the values individually into the second tab.

I'm looking at having to process data sets in the hundreds at a time, this is why I'm looking at automating the process.

Can it be done where I can create formulae in each result cell on the first row and then just fill down as many rows as the input data requires?

Let me know if you need any further clarification of what I'm trying to achieve.

Cheers
