header/footer in Excel

I inadvertently inserted a header/footer in my Excel document...how do I remove it?

Hi and welcome to the forum!

Basically, you just delete it. If you're in Excel 2007 or later, you can go to the View tab, select the Page Layout button from the Workbook Views group/box on the left, then just select the header section and the footer section of the document and delete what is in there.

You can also do this by going to the Page Setup window, Header/Footer tab, and then deleting what is in the boxes for Header and Footer or just set the drop-down menu for each to "(none)."
