Cannot change worksheet size

I am running Excel 2007
The worksheet does not fill the screen (Not Maximized)
I cannot change the size or move the worksheet within the main window
There are no buttons at top right of sheet to min, max, close sheet.
I re-created the workbook. it worked fine until I saved it and restarted it.
Back to the same situation.
This is my 1st spreadsheet using 2007.

Any suggestions?

Does the spreadsheet contain any macros? Or, do you have a personal macro workbook that has macros within it? This functionality, or lack thereof, could be created by an auto-run macro.

Thank you - I found the solution.
Under protect workbook I had something checked that should not be checked.
