I want to insert a symbol on a footer of an excel worksheet.Howdo I go about it?

Hi and welcome to the forum!

The easiest way to do this is to go to the View tab, select Page Layout from the left of the ribbon menu, then, go to the bottom of the page and click where it says "Click to add footer."

If you are in a previous version of Excel, you will need to go to the Page Setup dialogue box and then the Header/Footer tab and add the symbol there.

Thank you Don,

I can get to the option to 'add footer',.I can only type to the footer but the symbols option is not enabled.I want to insert the symbol for copyright © which is not on the keyboard. Please assist.
